Marie Curie Fellowships

The EUI (the Departments and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies) acts as a host institution for Marie Curie Fellowships which are awarded by the European Commission for research in the social sciences.

The call for Marie Curie Fellowships is published by the European Commission| (FP7 PEOPLE), normally in March with a deadline of mid August each year.

The EUI organises a pre-selection with a deadline of 30 May. Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the conditions of eligibility| and send an expression of interest to the EUI at apply.mariecurie@eui.eu|.  It should consist of the application form, short CV, a two-page research proposal with a clear indication of why the EUI/the RSCAS would be the best host institution for their research, and two letters of reference to be sent by the referees.

Before applying candidates should contact an EUI professor who is willing to support their application and act as mentor and indicate this in the application form.

The EUI decides whether to submit the proposal to the EC on the basis of an internal academic evaluation and the availability of suitable supervision.

Candidates are informed of the result well before the deadline for submitting applications to the Commission.

Priority is given to candidates whose profiles fit closely with existing interests and orientations at the EUI and who have the support of an EUI/RSCAS professor.

The deadline for the current pre-selection has expired

Canon Foundation Fellowship|

The Canon Foundation and the EUI jointly award one Canon Foundation Fellowship for post-doctoral research at the EUI.

The annual deadline for applications is 15 September.

Academy of Finland Fellowship|

The Academy of Finland awards fellowships for post-doctoral research at the EUI.

The Academy also invites applications for Research Fellow at the EUI for a maximum of five years.
