Additional Grants Awarded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

The EUI is pleased to announce that the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, Office VII - awards doctoral grants for Ph.D. candidates who are nationals of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, People's Republic of China (PRC), North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, United States of America (USA).

Candidates from the countries above follow the normal application procedure, i.e. applying to the EUI constitutes at the same time an application for a grant offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (no separate grant application is required).

The European University Institute is accepting applications for its PhD programmes in Economics, History and Civilization, Law and Political and Social Sciences from 2 November until the deadline 31 January.

EUI Doctoral researchers from the above-mentioned countries do not pay the tuition fees and receive a grant for the entire duration of the Doctoral Programme (4 years).

A monthly grant of €1.215 is provided by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the first three years of the programme, while the 4th year-grant is funded by the EUI (€ 1.350 per month). Yearly travel allowances are provided by the EUI.
