Researcher Subsidy for Laptop Purchases

The EUI offers a one-time subsidy of 10% of the purchase cost, up to a maximum of €100, to first-year researchers who purchase their own laptop in their first year.

Researchers may buy their laptops wherever they wish, choosing whatever model they desire, provided the equipment is new and bought from a regular retailer.

You must provide proof-of-purchase in the form of an original invoice (or certified copy thereof) clearly indicating:

  • Type and brand-name of hardware purchased

  • Date of purchase

  • Name of purchaser (who must be the researcher him/herself)

Deadline for presentation of the laptop subsidy request  is  the last working day of January for the previous calendar year of eligibility.

The request and invoice must be presented in person to the ICT Secretary  (9:00-17:00) at Villa Raimondi by that date.

Requests submitted after this date are not accepted.

The EUI is in no way responsible for the warranty/maintenance of researchers' laptops.
