Using Image Resizer

All EUI Windows-based computers (both Research  and Staff Configuration ) come with software that lets you resize images very quickly:

Standard Procedure

  1. Right-click on the image you wish to resize.
  2. Click Resize Pictures.

  4. The new, resized image will be generated in the same folder.

Advanced Options

Additional options can be set by clicking on the "Advanced >>" button and include:

  • Custom = custom width, in pixels (maintains aspect ratio)
  • Make pictures smaller but not larger = only resizes smaller (to avoid loss of quality)
  • Resize the original pictures (don't create copies) = does not create a new, resized image (caution: overwrites original!)
