Research Software for Laptops

 

Some Research Software is available for Researchers, Fellows, Academic and Administrative Staff [1]  to install on their personal or EUI laptops:

Welcome DVD 

A Welcome DVD is distributed on Registration Day to all Reseachers and Fellows [1]  which contains the software below (click on the software name for further details):

Researchers and Fellows who missed the Registration Day can obtain the Welcome DVD either from the CS Secretary or from the Welcome Unit (see Where to Get the Software and License Forms  further below).

Academic and Administrative Staff should instead contact their local IT Support (Site Office) .

 

Please Note: depending on the software, in order to activate and/or install you may need a Serial Number or License Code. Researchers and Fellows can obtain these from the CS Secretary ONLY upon duly signing a License Agreement Form (see Where to Get the Software and License Forms  further below). Academic and Administrative Staff should instead contact their local IT Support (Site Office) .

 

Where to Get the Software and License Forms 

A copy of the Welcome DVD can be obtained either from the ICT Secretary  or from the Welcome Unit .

The additional software and the License Forms can be obtained from the ICT Secretary ONLY:

Terms & Conditions 

• Depending on the software, in order to activate and/or install you may need a Serial Number or License Code:
• Researchers and Fellows can obtain these from the ICT Secretary ONLY upon duly signing a License Agreement Form (see Where to Get the Software and License Forms  further below).
• Academic and Administrative Staff should instead contact their local IT Support (Site Office) .
• Licenses are usually valid for one year and renewal before expiry is the user's responsibility.
• As per Acceptable Use Policy  you must uninstall any EUI-provided software once your affiliation to the Institute ceases.

 

Support 

• Support for installation, troubleshooting and tutoring is provided solely by the Research Software Tutors .
• The ICT Secretary and the Welcome Unit are merely distributing the software and/or collect the signed license forms thus cannot provide any technical assistance.
