Women's Football, the Mucche Pazze

The EUI women’s five-a-side (calcetto) team, the Mad Cows (Mucche Pazze), welcomes experienced players and newcomers to the sport. The Cows normally train twice a week on the pitch at Villa Schifanoia.

From November onwards the Cows take part in a local 'calcetto' league, but you can also join the Cows to train without playing games.

Men's Football

The EUI's now legendary men's football team (formerly the International Heroes, La Squadra Fantastica) in the Prima Categoria of Italy's football hierarchy is virtually the only activity that brings together researchers, post-docs, professors, trainees and staff.

The EUI has its own calcetto pitch, which all members are free to use, and which hosts the annual Coppa Pavone tournament.
