General Practitioner

There are two general practictioners who receive patients by appointment, in the Sala Medica at the Badia Fiesolana. (Building at the end of the garden adjacent to the Library).

They are both private doctors, and as they are practicing outside the Italian public health scheme (ASL), the visits must be paid for.

The cost of a visit for Vanbreda holders is 9 Euro.

• Dr Gabriella Friedl is a German general practictioner, with a specialisation in respiratory problems / pneumologia. Her working languages are German, English, French and Italian.

  She receives patients at the EUI only on Mondays, from 9.30 to 10.30.

  Alternatively, you may make an appointment  with her at her studio in Piazza dell'Unita` 7 (near to the Santa Maria Novella train station), Monday to Friday inclusive, from 14.00 to 16.00.

• Dr Stephen Kerr is a British-trained general practitioner. He speaks English and Italian.

  He receives patients at the EUI only on Wednesdays, from 9.00 onwards.

  Alternatively, you may make an appointment  with him at his studio in Piazza Mercato Nuovo 1 (4th floor), (aka loggia del porcellino), between the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Repubblica.
