Printing & Photocopying Policy
MultiFunction Network Printers are available via the local area network (LAN) for all users with a valid EUI account (e.g. printers in Computer Rooms and corridors).
Network Printers can be used to print, photocopy or scan. Swipe your EUI card through the reader on the side of the machine, or insert your user name and password on the touch screen of the multifunction machine.
Print Quotas and Printouts
Researchers, Fellows and Post-Docs have a quota of 4,200 B/W pages (total for printouts and photocopies together) for one academic year, which is equivalent to 350 pages per month. Alumni can print or copy 500 B/W pages per year and visitors are able to print approximately 350 B/W pages per month.
Colour copies can be purchased using the same online form as for B/W copies.
Remaining quota pages cannot be carried over to the next year.
Every time you login to the Network Printer you can check your B/W photocopy/print quota on the machine display. The number of pages remaining is shown under “Account Balance” at the bottom right of the display pane (above the Logout button).
If you have to print a job which is more than 200 Mb, or in colour, contact the secretary of your department/centre to submit it to the Print Shop .
Print jobs stay in the print server queue for 24h after being sent. After this time, the jobs will automatically be DELETED and cannot be recovered. You are not charged for erased jobs; your print quota ONLY registers actual copies made.
