Works on Villa Schifanoia Grounds

Posted on 16 June 2016

Repaving works in the parking area and the internal grounds of Villa Schifanoia will begin next Monday, 20 June and are scheduled to be completed by Thursday 30 June. Please note that access to the Villa will be consequently modified as follows (see map):

  • On 20,21 and 22 June works will be carried out in the lower part of the Parking area (P2 and partially P1), therefore the access gate on Via Boccaccio 111 will be closed: cars will be able to access the P1 car park, which will be limited to the area bordering the soccer pitch, from the Villino gate, located in Via Boccaccio 115. In order to avoid traffic problems, exit for vehicles will only be possible through the upper main gate located in Via Boccaccio 121.If off-hours access to the Villa is needed (before 8am and after 7pm) , please use the upper gate in Via Boccaccio 121 both for entrance/exit. When accessing the complex from the Villino gate (Via Boccaccio 115) we recommend to slow down and pay the utmost attention to other vehicles.

  • On 23 and 24 June works will be carried out in the upper P1 car park, so the other parking areas (P2 and lower P1) will be reopened and cars will be able to access from the Via Boccaccio 111 gate as usual. Please note: in these 2 days the crèche will be accessible from the Villino gate (Via Boccaccio 115), which will be left open for crèche users only (NO PARKING ALLOWED). You are kindly requested to pay the utmost attention when entering/leaving the area, and to take advantage of the convex traffic mirror located outside the gate.

  • On 28, 29 and 30 June works will be carried out on the internal road connecting the Villino with the ramp leading to the main building: there will be no specific access and parking restrictions on the other grounds.

Please note that the above mentioned schedule could be subject to unpredictable changes in the event of unfavorable weather conditions.
