Marise Cremona’s 2004 article, “The Union as a Global Actor: Roles, Models and Identity”, published in the Common Market Law Review, has become a classic text that scholars turn to time and time again. This event in honour of Professor Cremona, who will leave the EUI this summer, draws together a group of speakers who will reflect on the different roles of the EU as a global actor today. At the end of the day, Marise herself will reflect on how the global role of the EU has evolved during the last decade and how it might change in the future
