In March 2022 the Florence School of Banking and Finance (FBF) collaborated with the University of Florence (UniFi) in a series of lectures on 'The EU Financial Union' in the framework of the course on Commercial Law held by Professor Lorenzo Stanghellini.

The lectures were designed for bachelor students and focused on the following topics:

  • ‘The EU Financial Union’
  • ‘The Banking Union: the role of bank resolution and State aid rules’
  • ‘The EU Fiscal Union and the Capital Markets Union’
  • ‘Anti-Money Laundering and Cryptoassets: regulation and supervision in the EU’

The school aims to build a continuous relationship with UniFi in the next years and tighten bonds with its hosting city.

"The EU Banking Union is a topical area that is still perceived by many as too distant from their daily concerns", said Pierre Schlosser, Deputy Director at the FBF. "I was glad to connect face-to-face with bachelor students and share our knowledge in this field".
