Biography

Yen Mooi is an economist who has worked on a range of macro-financial and development issues including macro-fiscal linkages, financial sector vulnerabilities, financial inclusion, debt management and debt market development. Before coming to the EUI, she was a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund. Her experience also includes other multilateral development institutions such as the World Bank and the IFC, as well as the Central Bank of Malaysia. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and graduate degrees at Oxford University and the Harvard Kennedy School. In her free time, she is an avid artist and enjoys hiking.

As a Visiting Fellow at the STG, she will work on the topic of economic and financial inclusion for migrants.
