Where does the summer school take place, and how do I get there?

The summer courses are held at the EUI at its Villa Salviati campus. To reach the campus more easily, by bus or on foot, course participants are advised to look for accommodation in the following areas: 'Le Cure', 'Piazza della Libertà'  or 'San Marco'.

To reach Villa Salviati by bus, you can take either bus 25 or bus 1A.

You can take bus 25 (from Piazza San Marco) for Pian di San Bartolo/Pratolino and get off at 'Il Cionfo 01'. The gate is Via Bolognese 156, about 50 meters ahead of the bus stop, on the right side. It is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to Villa Salviati.

You can take bus 1A (from the railway station Santa Maria Novella, or Piazza San Marco, or Piazza della Libertà, or Piazza delle Cure) and get off at the last stop ('Salviati FS'). When you hop off the bus, walk just a few steps along via Faentina towards the centre and you will find a gate on your right: the driveway takes you up to Villa Salviati. It is a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to Villa Salviati.

For further information about timetables, you can check the bus company (ATAF) website

You can buy a ticket before boarding the bus, or pay an additional cost and buy a ticket from the driver. You can buy multiple tickets at a reduced price; see the bus company website for full details.
