The first EUI Alumni Conference in Economics will be organized at the European University Institute on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October 2013.

The conference is open to all economists who are or have been affiliated with the EUI in the past. Papers were selected primarily based on academic merit.The organizers hope to have a programme where many EUI cohorts (including current PhD students) are represented.


Registration will begin at 10:00 on Friday 11 October in the Badia Cloister.


There will be parallel sessions in the following fields (broadly defined):

Applied & Empirical Micro - Sala Seminario 2Organized by Elena Argentesi (University of Bologna), Chiara Fumagalli (Bocconi University), Sascha Becker (University of Warwick) and Tommaso Nannicini (Bocconi University)


Macroeconomics - Sala del CapitoloOrganized by Kristoffer Nimark (CREI and Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Karel Mertens (Cornell University)


Micro Theory - Cancelled (papers integrated into Applied & Empirical Micro Session)Organized by Ludovic Renou (University of Essex) and Mark le Quement (Bonn University)
