DescriptionEUI President J.H.H. Weiler and Umberto Tombari, President of the Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze have signed an agreement launching the new Florence School of Banking & Finance at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. The School, directed by Economics Professor Elena Carletti and governed by an Advisory Council and Scientific Committee composed of distinguished academics and practitioners, has been founded to develop a common and robust culture of banking regulation and supervision in the European Union. The school will offer advanced training courses, facilitate high level policy dialogue and debate through conferences and meetings, and produce applied research. The first initiative, an online course for EU supervisors and regulators on Bank Recovery Planning, will start on 29 February 2016.
