Without having a single regional focus and disciplinary orientation, participants to this workshop will be discussing a wide-range of cases, giving special attention to the means with which we infer about Muslim societies. These cases will include examinations of societies in face of outstanding cultural contestations, social displacements, regime changes, leadership conflicts, new religiosities and social movements. 26-27 May 2016.
