This represents one of his two main research interests, the other being the legal regimes governing refugees and asylum in the EU. The latter interest developed through working for organisations such as the European Council on Refugees and Exiles and UNHCR. During the Max Weber Fellowship, Paul will primarily develop his PhD thesis into a monograph and at least one journal article.
