Nils Grevenbrock completed his PhD thesis at Goethe University Frankfurt under the supervision of Alexander Ludwig. His research interests lie in the fields of optimal taxation, household finance, and behavioural macroeconomics. Methodologically, he mostly relies on quantitative structural life-cycle models with heterogeneous agents and applied econometrics using household survey data.
During his PhD Nils was a visiting student at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and spent three months at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. Before coming to the European University Institute Nils was part of the research unit at Deutsche Bundesbank working on the German Panel on Household Finances.
