Following my year as a Max Weber Fellow, I took up a lectureship at Queen’s University Management School, Queen’s University Belfast, where I am also a research associate at Queen’s University Centre for Economic History.

I completed my graduate research in economic history at the London School of Economics in 2011, and have spent periods as a visiting student at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universiteit Utrecht. My undergraduate degree, in economics, is from the University of Bristol.

My academic interests lie primarily in the fields of business, economic and financial history. My doctoral dissertation, entitled ‘Religion, competition and liability: The Dutch cooperative banking sector in crisis, 1919-1927’, won the bi-annual European Business History Association Dissertation Prize in September 2012.
