The EUI became institutional supporting member of ORCID, the Open Researcher and Contributor ID in November 2017. ORCID is a non-profit organization supported by a global community of organizational members, including resear
ch organizations, publishers, funders, professional associations, and other stakeholders in the research ecosystem.
ORCiD, the Open Researcher and Contributor iD, is a registry of unique identifiers for researchers and scholars that is open, non-proprietary, transparent, mobile, and community-based.
During Autumn/Winter 2017 the EUI will integrate Cadmus, EUI research repository with ORCID.
For this reason a new EUI Guide to ORCiD: Recommendations for EUI members has been prepared. Please do consult it.
ORCiD ensures authors to get credit for all their work. The ORCiD iD will belong to the author throughout the scholarly career as a persistent identifier to distinguish the author from other researchers. To get started:
- Claim the free ORCiD iD at http://orcid.org/register
- Import the research outputs and add biographical information to ORCID
- Use the ORCID when you apply for grants, submit publications, or share CV
