No go areas Use of the lifts in the Library is not permitted. Exit The sole exit is through the door in the loan desk area. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) It is mandatory to wear a mask at any time. FFP2 masks are recommended, due to their higher efficiency, even compared to surgical masks. Handling printed books Users can access books on shelf. After consultation, all books must be left on the clearly marked trolleys nearby. All consulted books will be collected each evening and will be sanitised. Users wishing to consult a book for more than one day should take the book on loan. All books returning from loan should be placed in the drop boxes for sanitisation. Hygiene All bathrooms, working spaces, multifunction machines, water fountains, entrance area and loan desk will be disinfected regularly during opening hours. Disinfecting gel will be available in the Library. When turned on, the air conditioning in the Library does not recycle air, but it uses refrigerated air sourced from the outside. Book sanitisation The Library, in collaboration with REFs, acquired several devices to sterilise books. All items delivered to and from the villas are sterilised by UV light. Items returned from loan or handled inside the Library are disinfected with dry steam at 160ºC. Page last updated on 17 March 2022
