Annick-Laure Tchuendem is a Policy officer at the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Since she joined over a year ago, her main focus is to build and reinforce the economic self-reliance of forcibly displaced across the East and Horn of Africa and Zambia.  

Prior to join UNHCR, Ms Tchuendem worked with the World Bank for almost 3 years as a Program Analyst supporting various teams to work on strategy, delivery and analytics for some of the WBG’s and President's top priorities; to improve governance effectiveness in Africa and Middle East as well as policy dialogue with Civil Society. Before this role, she was Program officer four years with the African Union Commission where she oversaw the coordination of youth health interventions at continental level.   

Ms Tchuendem started her career with the Ministry of Economy and of Cameroon where she worked for two years as a Policy Officer supporting the development and the implementation of the human resources national strategy and national employment and vocational training policies.

She holds Masters’ in Management Science and Human Resources Management. She is fluent in French and English and has a working knowledge of Spanish. She has worked and travelled in many regions of the world.
