Etim Offiong Fellowship period: 1 February - 30 June 2021 Topic: European Union’s Approach to Regional and Global Space Governance: Are there Lessons for Africa? Etim Offiong Etim Offiong is a Scientific Officer at the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (ARCSSTE-E) in Nigeria. He holds a BSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria) as well as a Masters in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) from Politecnico di Torino (Italy), and a Masters in International Science and Technology Policy, from George Washington University (USA). Etim is also an alumnus of the International Space University (ISU), France. In 2014, he volunteered at the African Union Commission (AUC), where he participated in drafting the African Space Policy and Strategy. At EUI, Etim will research on how space activities are governed within the European Union (EU), and EU’s approach to global space governance.
