Ibrahim Sakawa Magara is a peace researcher and practitioner with many years of work experience both in the academia and practice. He holds a Master of Arts degree in peace studies and international relations from Hekima University College – a Constituent of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He has a backgroundin Philosophy, Theology and Leadership and Management. Magara is a Research Associate and Adjunct Lecturer at St. Paul’s University.

Ibrahim is equally a Founding Director of Amani Africa Consultancy based in Nairobi, Kenya, where he is actively engaged in peace research and peace policy advice in Africa. Among other roles, Ibrahim has previously worked with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as a Peace and Justice Programmes Coordinator.
