 Nathan Awuapila

Nathan Tyohemba Awuapila has 10 years Energy Policy and Planning experience. He is a Senior Scientific Officer at the Energy Commission of Nigeria. He is actively involved in the strategic planning and coordination of Nigeria’s National Energy Policy; formulation of short, medium and long-term plans for the sustainable consumption of the nation’s energy resources through modeling and projections of present and future energy demand and supplies.

He attended the Benue State University (Nigeria), and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Environmental Physics.

 At the EUI, he will focus his research on Assessment of Policy Instruments Designed to Promote the Development of Renewable Energy in Developing Countries: Case Study of Nigeria.
