Aiza Azam

Aiza Azam is currently Vice President of the Centre for Strategic and Contemporary Research, which engages in policy initiatives by working with stakeholders from civil society, the government and the media. Previously, she was the Director Projects at the Pakistan-China Institute, where she helped implement their key initiatives in promoting people to people relations between China and Pakistan. She has served as a member of the Visiting Faculty for the International Relations department at the National Defence University, Islamabad. Her MPhil and Masters degrees are in International Relations from the NDU, and she is an alumna of the university’s National Security Workshop. Her Bachelors degree is in foreign languages (Spanish and Mandarin), from the National University of Modern Languages. During her time as an undergraduate, she received scholarships to study in China and Spain. She plans to use her time at the STG to further her work on the capacity building projects her institute is engaging in, with provincial governments in Pakistan.
