Extracurricular Activities

The Body and Brain Boosting Board (commonly known as 4B) offers support and assistance in organizing activities beyond the academic curriculum of the EUI. These may occur both on and off-site. Mostly of a cultural and sporting nature, there are currently twenty five such clubs (mostly run by researchers) although the number varies from year to year depending on interest and resulting membership.

The longest running activities include two football clubs (men and women’s), yoga courses, running, rowing, the EUI Choir and dance, but there are many more. If there is sufficient interest and you would like to start a new club, contact the 4B coordinator at [email protected].There are also alternative groups detached from 4B, such as book clubs, chess club etc.

Those not participating in the academic activities of the Institute during the year may wish to join the Partner’s Group. During term time, the group usually meets twice a month, on a Wednesday morning, at the Badia. The group organizes outings, exchanges general knowledge, books and offers company.
