Academic training at the EUI is aimed specifically at post-doctoral candidates. It is provided primarily by the Max Weber Programme and the Academy of European Law.
The Max Weber Programme is the largest interdisciplinary postdoctoral training programme in Europe in the Social and Human Sciences for those who have just received their doctorate. The Programme is geared to developing the academic and teaching skills of postdoctoral fellows, while leaving ample time for individual research agendas.
The Academy of European Law (AEL) Summer Courses offers two two-week courses, the first dealing with Human Rights Law, the second with the Law of the European Union. Each programme consists of a General Course and a set of Specialized Courses focused on a topical theme. These high-level programmes are tailored for researchers and practitioners and are given by leading authorities from the worlds of practice and academia.
