Classes are from Monday to Friday. Most classes are scheduled between 09.30 to 16.30 CEST (Central European Summer Time).
You are expected to attend all classes. Please note that classes are not recorded.
In addition, there are optional sessions and networking and social events that you can choose to attend.
The optional Diploma examination takes place on the last day of each course, usually on Friday morning.
Before the course starts, we will send you a link to access the course materials. Access to the EUI library will be granted three weeks before the starting date of the course
There is an examination on the last day of the course. You can choose to take this examination but this is not mandatory. About 25% of course participants choose to take the examination.
The Diploma of the Academy of European Law is awarded to course participants who submit an excellent examination paper. Each year, the Diploma is awarded to 2 - 5 participants on each course. More information about the Diploma here.
A certificate of attendance is given at the end of the course to those participants who have attended all the classes.In case of absence, please inform the Academy in advance.
The EUI does not operate the ECTS system. Upon request, we can issue a certificate specifying the number of hours of the course you have attended. Some of our past participants have used this certification to obtain credits from their home universities.
