The Seminar for National Judges and National Regulatory Authorities is a yearly professional training programme organised by the Centre for a Digital Society on behalf of the European Commission, DG CNETC.

The Seminar provides a forum for debate among national judges, regulators, European Institutions and academia.

Participants will have a unique opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers about the latest developments in the field and share experiences and best practices on various aspects of electronic communications regulation.

They will also gain access to learning material from the previous editions of the Seminar.

Practical information & application

Prospective participants are invited to apply by completing an online form. There are two different application forms for national judges and officials from National Regulatory Agencies (NRAs).

APPLICATION FOR NRAs

Each European Member State can be represented by a maximum of two national judges from competent tribunals (i.e. judges who deal with appeal cases against the decisions of the telecom regulator and/or cases involving the application of telecommunications regulation.) and two officials from NRAs. In the event of several applications from the same Member State, the Centre for a Digital Society will make a selection in cooperation with the European Commission.

Applicants will be notified about the outcome of the selection process shortly after the application deadline. Selected participants will then receive an official invitation to the event and will be provided with practical information about travel and accommodation, including a list of recommended hotels.

Participation in the course is free for selected applicants.

Applicants are kindly advised not to book their travel and accommodation before the receipt of the official confirmation by the Centre for a Digital Society.
