These lectures by Joan Pau Rubiés (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and Henrique Leitão (Universidade de Lisboa) are jointly organised by the chairs on Early Modern Global History and History of Science, as well as the Working Group on the History of Science, and will close the research seminar on Early Modern travel accounts. The two guest speakers will elaborate on the rich connections between travels (and travel narratives) and the production of knowledge in the fields of natural history and ethnology in the early modern era.
