The starting point for this workshop is the Commission’s Reflection Paper on Deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union COM (2017) 291 of 31 May 2017, and other key recent policy proposals. The purpose of the workshop is to take stock of how Economic and Monetary Union has evolved since the crisis and to assess the legal issues arising out of policy proposals that arise from the reflection paper, as well as from the work of economists on the ADEMU project, details of which may be found here (http://ademu-project.eu/). The workshop will entail a discussion of existing policy and of working papers assessing various policy options.
