UACES and the EUI will bring together academics and archivists to examine the last 50 years of European Studies and UK-EU relations.
The 50th Anniversary of UACES (the academic association for contemporary European studies) coincides with the UK's triggering of Article 50. This conference provides a unique opportunity to draw on the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) and showcase the newly-deposited UACES archival materials.
Speakers will examine the development and meaning of European Studies over the last 50 years and consider how the shifts in UK/EU relations and other pressures on the EU could impact the discipline going forwards.
