Add to Calendar 2018-06-11 9:00 2018-06-12 13:00 Europe/Paris E-NACT workshop on the Techniques of Judicial Interactions in the Application of the EU Charter: Freedom of Expression

The Transnational Training Workshop on Freedom of Expression and Countering Hate Speech takes place in the framework of the project managed by the EUI Centre for Judicial Cooperation, entitled e-NACT, carried out with the support of the European Commission, DG Justice.
The e-NACT Project acknowledges the difficulties that legal practitioners face in their day-to-day activity, which include in particular the complexity of legal and jurisprudential multi-level framework governing the selected legal areas, as well as the ongoing legal reforms that affect them. In order to provide clear and easy to use set of guidelines, able to clarify not only the highly specialized and technical set of norms of various legal sources, but also provide examples of the caselaw interpretation and application of such norms by European and national courts, the e-NACT project offers a set of training activities that, coupled with the expertise of the trainers involved, aims at fostering the emergence and consolidation of a common culture of fundamental rights. This is an essential prerequisite to mutual trust, which, in turn, is the cornerstone of judicial cooperation in Europe and the very foundation of the whole European edifice.
Chatham house rules apply.
