Antitrust and the More Economic Approach
This course proposes a reflection on the evolution of EU competition law in the period 1997-2018. It seeks to discuss the emergence of a new way of thinking about antitrust law (the so-called more economic approach): where did this originate? How far did this affect EU antitrust? How did the European Courts respond to this development? The focus of the course is on reading a large sample of ECJ judgments as well as salient secondary literature.
