The Horizon 2020 ADEMU (A Dynamic Economic and Monetary Union) project started in June 2015 with the aim of developing research to reassess the Fiscal and Monetary Framework of the EMU and provide guidance for its reform, taking the Four (2012) and Five (2015) Presidents Reports as a benchmark. ADEMU is getting towards its end and in these three years the euro area has advanced on the roadmap by the Presidents, and new lessons have been drawn from the aftermath of the euro crisis and Brexit. During this period, ADEMU research has provided new insights in the understanding of the euro and related crises, as well as on the design of efficient and credible policies and institutions for the EMU. The presentation will summarize some of the ADEMU findings, with a special emphasis on a proposal for a European Stability Fund and on the debate on a possible European Unemployment Insurance Mechanism.

Registration: 17:30
Panel: 18.00 - 19.30
Reception: 19:30 - 20:30
