How can we finance the transition to a low-carbon economy? This Executive Training Seminar will provide participants with a practical overview of the current financial instruments to support projects aimed to achieve sustainability. In particular, the training will analyse the role of Central Banks, of the public sector and of State investment banks in the transition; the possible ways to scaling up climate finance in developing countries, and the different national paths to contribute to the Paris Agreements. Finally, participants will learn about the European experience of the EU Emission Trading System. Fees: 1,500 € (10% reduction for early registrations to be sent by 10th March) A discount of 25% will be applied to the charges for international European and national civil servants, as well as to members of the NGOs. The fees cover the cost of the course as well as coffee and lunch breaks. Travel and hotel costs are not included in the fees. Full or partial fee-waivers, as well as a limited number of scholarships, will be available on merit or needs basis. The deadline for applications is 29th March.
