Reuben Lewis is a Policy Leader Fellow at STG. He is a peace-building practitioner who completed his PhD studies at the Graduate School for international Development and Cooperation, Hiroshima University, Japan where he conducted research on cooperative institutionalisation of conflict prevention mechanisms in regional subsystems in Africa with concentration on West Africa.
The objective of this talk is to present an exploratory work on the development of infrastructures for peace as a mechanism for conflict prevention in West Africa. Reuben will discuss how and why I4P is being transnationalised, its pillars and carriers at regional, state and sub-state level, its application in managing election related conflicts and the challenges that lies ahead in tackling governance and conflict issues within the sub-region.
The Policy Leader Fellows talks series presents works in progress by the fellows and invites the participants to engage in discussion with the speaker and other participants.
