Honoring the life and work of Giorgio La Pira, the visionary mayor of Florence, advocate for peace, social justice and dialogue among civilizations, the EUI School of Transnational Governance and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze are pleased to welcome HE Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former President of Liberia and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, to deliver the inaugural Distinguished Giorgio La Pira Lecture. The Lecture opens a broad strategic outreach of the EUI and STG to Africa, facilitating access of African students to the forthcoming Master in Transnational Governance, as well as a dedicated executive training program for future African leaders.
