During the talk Prof. Maduro and his discussants will consider the role of governments, governance and constitutions in the world order. The speaker wants to set out an approach to understanding how the constitutions of states and the governance mechanisms or, even, constitutionalism of the world interacts and how we might begin to understand and reconsider both the is and ought (the positive and the normative) of the role of states.
After a brief introduction to the topic there will be a chance for the audience to engage in the topic with the speaker and the discussants.
