Are you at the start of your project and planning to generate research data? You should then consider planning ahead so that the data you produce are managed in such a way that they can "live longer" than your project lifespan. They will then become part of your research portfolio, can be cited, be reused, and, ultimately contribute to your research impact. Here come the FAIR Data Principles, a set of guiding principles in order to make data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. Developed by the research community for the research community, the FAIR principles are also becoming the standard for research data management when it comes to funded projects (e.g. through the EU Horizon 2020 funding program). This training session will provide an overview of the FAIR principles and practical guidelines to apply them in the research lifecycle.
