The Steering Committee of the HistCom3 consortium will hold a workshop on oral history, archives and research methodology, in the framework of the project: “The European Commission 1986-2000 - History and Memories of an Institution”.

The workshop will illustrate the oral history approach of the Histcom3 project, provide an overview of archival sources used for the publication, and give insight into some methodological research questions related to writing the institutional history of the European Commission. The Histcom3 project is coordinated by an international European network of academics, led by Professor Vincent Dujardin of the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve and included forty-two researchers. The Alcide De Gasperi Research Centre contributed to the volume, coordinated interviews with former Commissioners and high officials, and facilitated access to primary archival sources stored at the HAEU.

The workshop will be held both in English and French.
