This seminar will give some insights in how to increase the visibility of your research, both practically speaking and giving some insight into various theories about how impact is measured. Open Access to published work will offer increase visibility

  • How to use tools that are useful for academics visibility online: Google scholar, ORCID, Cadmus, the EUI Research Repository, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, LinkedIn, Wikipedia, etc.
  • How to be efficient when submitting an article to a journal
  • Take use of various Transformative Agreements that Libraries get with publishers: open access fees (APCs) are waived
  • How can the EUI Library membership with ORCID increase the visibility of my work?
  • Should I use the EUI Personal Home Pages tool, and can I reuse the content already in Cadmus
  • HuMetricsHSS, an initiative supported by the EUI committed to establishing humane indicators of excellence in academia, focused particularly on the humanities and social sciences
