COVID-19 is accelerating seismic changes in globalisation and trade policy. The EU will need a new strategy to position itself vis-à-vis the challenges posed by US-China geo-economic confrontation, rising domestic demands for protectionism and sovereignty in strategic capabilities while contributing to a greening of trade. How can a trade strategy bring coherence to these different aims? Which areas should be a priority for the EU?

Speaker: Christian Bluth, Policy Leader Fellow at the School of Transnational Governance, EUI

The Fellows talks are a series where policy leader fellows introduce their works in progress for discussion to their peers and interested parties.
