The COVID-19 pandemic has already profoundly changed how we live and work, and how the world is organised. To understand these changes and help navigate a post-Corona world, the European University Institute (EUI) School of Transnational Governance (STG) presents a webcast series of conversations and interviews with academics and high-level policy-makers. The experts will discuss social, economic and political issues relating to the new global environment from a transnational perspective, blending academic and policy analysis.

The webcasts will consist of one-hour livestreamed panel discussions every Monday on the implications of COVID-19 on: democracy; state vs. market; climate; digital; migration; the emerging world; geopolitics. In addition, interviews with high-level policymakers will be organised according at the availability of participants.

In this edition, we welcome Alexander Schallenberg (Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria) for a conversation with Alexander Stubb (Director of the School of Transnational Governance, and former Prime Minister of Finland), by examining questions such as: the COVID-19 situation in Austria, the challenges and opportunities of new modes of working and interaction, the handling of the crisis of Europe, and the implications on foreign affairs and geopolitics.

The event will be livestreamed, and no registration is required. To participate in the conversation, post your comments and questions in the comment feed below the video.
