Having made the case for public funding to support infrastructure, defense and the judicial system, Smith went on to analyze to what extent the educational system should be financed by the government. Interestingly, Smith conceived of education as pertaining to all ages groups, not just the young. Join us in reading Smith's thoughts on a topic which even after two and a half centuries still provokes heated debates.
