Ahead of this workshop, you are required to prepare a 1-minute elevator pitch of your research topic, which you will be asked to present in a small group**

This workshop, which will take place remotely through Zoom, will be interactive and will include breakout sessions during which you will be expected to actively participate in completing exercises in small groups.

10.45-11.15      Session 2: Articulating a research question and puzzle

11.15-11.30    Screen Break

11.30-12         Session 3: Doing a literature review and developing a theoretical framework

12-12.30         Session 4: Selection of research methods and data sources

12.30-1.30      Lunch

13.30-14.00    Session 5: Ethical considerations

14.00-14.30    Session 6: Safety and risk: researchers, research participants and data protection

14.30-14.45    Screen break

14.45-15.15    Session 7: Realistic timetables for data collection and writing

15.15-16.00    Session 8: Questions and discussion (joined by 2nd/3rd year researchers)
