Qualitative and Fieldwork Working Group: Decolonising Fieldwork
The session is themed Decolonising Fieldwork and therefore will concentrate on a variety of considerations surrounding the general debate on Decolonisation and its implications on fieldwork:
• What are the colonial practices within fieldwork?
• How should we understand and negotiate research fatigue and over-researching?
• When should Global North researchers refrain from fieldwork?
Dr. Mayssoun Sukarieh (King's College London) will be joining us for the first hour of the working group and will give a short presentation on the subject. We will then open the floor for an open debate where you will have the opportunity to ask direct questions.
This event will be held online through Zoom.
