Achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) depends on effective governance that ensures participation, engages democratic institutions, leads to policy transformation and coherence, and supports adaptation. Such governance is not limited to earth; it extends to outer space.Addressing environmental concerns is integral to each of the 17 SDGs. In order to achieve the goals by 2030, the SDGs require more effective and efficient actions, where governance encourages innovation that targets multiple SDGs. In this talk, our panelists lay out the concepts of environmental governance and space governance.
