With the results of the US presidential elections, authors from each of the 27 EU Member States and 15 countries in the EU’s vicinity provide short, concise contributions analysing various aspects of their countries' relationships with the USA. They address key questions such as: What is the historical, economic, and political relationship between the country and the USA? What is the public perception of the USA? How does this relationship affect the country’s position within the EU? What role does US security involvement in Europe play for the country? And how should the EU and the country now approach relations with the USA? This book sheds light on the political dynamics within EU member states and contributes to the ongoing debate about Europe’s future, which will be decided in the capitals and every corner of the continent.
